Located in the historic area of Appomattox, Va, Blue and Gray Houndsman Club was established in 2005. Established primarly as a coonhound hunt club at this time we have future plans to hold other types of hunting with dog events. We are santioned by the UKC and AKC. Our club strives to promote a family friendly event in a fair and competitive manner that has something for each member of the family. We have children's bench shows at each of our UKC bench show events that offers each child a trophy and photo of them showing their favorite dog.
We invite all hunters to come to our events and enjoy the fellowship, competition and good food that is available at each event. We invite hunters to join our club and enjoy the benifits of club membership including annual picnics and dinners with other club members and their families.
At this time we hold events sanctioned by UKC including Bench Shows, Night Hunts and Hunt Tests, We also hold nonsanctioned treeing contests at our regularly scheduled bench show / night hunt events and a free childrens bench show with trophys for each participant.
BBOA Zone 5 Championship will be held on September 30th and October 1, 2011 at Blue and Gray Houndsman Club.
